Challenge
Cintas partnered with TiER1 to revamp its internship program, specifically focusing on leveraging social media platforms like Handshake and LinkedIn to generate and promote interest in the program.
Outcome
To created a Social Media Toolkit, a package of resources, guides, and insights that Cintas partners (and past interns) who have agreed can leverage when posting on social media. It will also help ensure a cohesive social media presence while assisting partners in generating awareness and engagement around the program.
** I was not a part of the project for final delivery, so changes have happened.**
Initial research and information gathering
At the start of the project, the Communication team held a few focus groups to get insight into the intern experience with both TiER1's interns (including myself) and past Cintas Interns.
The information gathered from the focus groups was compiled into a Miro board and used by the Communication team to define the different phases of the recruiting process. After determining the phases, they were able to start writing out objectives and coming up with questions that would help give more direction to those using the tool kit.
Explored design platforms
Learning what platform to design the layouts in or what platform would make it most convenient to keep the designs editable.
Collaboration with client
We had to meet with the client to answer questions about the posts. Before our meeting, we prepared specific questions to discuss the Why, Where, Who, and What for each phase of the recruitment process to ensure we gathered the necessary information for the design.
Benchmarking learning opportunities
Final post types
We created the final posts in Adobe Illustrator. Once the designs were set, we saved them as SVG files so that we could import them into PowerPoint and keep them editable. Once the layouts were imported into PowerPoint, we added the editable copy and the placeholder images.
